New year, a new knitting blog

Hello interneters. I have been coveting a knitting/crocheting blog for a long time and finally put my big girl pants on and did it. I mainly need a place to keep my multitudinous projects straight, plus show them off to anyone who might give a crap (likely no one). Anyway, there are those this time of year who make New Year's Resolutions to save more, or lose weight, or whatever. Mine all revolve around yarn. God I am a fucking nerd. Anyway, thought my first entry should include something yarn related, so I figured I would post the list.

To Do:
1. finish the pirate afghan (make 4 more stripes, and jolly roger patch)
2. make Sean a sweater vest (using this pattern:http://www.berroco.com/exclusives/peter/peter_easy.html but have yet to even purchase yarn)
3. finish my brothers afghan (uses Lion Brand T&Q and an N hook, so the 10 or so stripes will go fast, I'm looking at an evening or two of dedicated crocheting. The full story behind this wool/acrylic monstrosity at a later date)
4. my intarsia/double knit afghan (le sigh. I shall explain this one later)
5. Laura's afghan (meh. I'm not sure I care about this one to be honest. Sorry Laura.)
6. Mom's jacket (its the crocheted jacket from The Happy Hooker. I made the WHOLE THING, and it didn't fit. Frogging it would simply make me cry, so its been buried in the closet for a year until I can emotionally handle it.)
7. Ashley's scarf (Have't started, bought yarn, lost the yarn, need to buy more. And I have 14 days. Using a pattern from a random knitting magazine whose name I am blanking on, but its a cool braided looking thing.)
8. A baby blanket for Sean's impending nephew (here I am thinking log cabin in shades of green and blue, but don't know if I am knitting or crocheting yet. I am thinking crochet.)
9. a rainbow, gay pride afghan for Adam (easy enough, just need to buy yarn and execute).

Plus do some serious stash busting/sorting. Yarn is taking over my apartment. I have a full 9 days between returning to Asheville tomorrow and going back to work the 7th. That MIGHT give me enough time. Maybe.

Hopefully in two weeks when the new computer arrives I will have some pictures of FO's (god lets hope).
